Offering students and young graduates the opportunity to acquire experience in the heritage field
CCA administers the Young Canada Works (YCW) program for the archival community and the library* community.
Young Canada Works is funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage (PCH) in support of the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment and Skills Strategy.
CCA has been administering YCW for 26+ years.
Last year, 470+ students were hired.

2023 - 2024 Campaign
All applications must be prepared online.
Your institution should consider keeping paper copies of the application and reports for your file.
Employers can now update their profiles and submit applications for 2023-2024.

You need only ONE (1) master account in order to apply to one or more delivery organization (CCA, CMA, FMD, and NTC). Please do not submit an application for the same position/job title to more than one delivery organization.

It will enable you to complete applications for Student Jobs (YCW in Heritage Organizations), as well as Internships for graduates (YCW at Building Careers in Heritage). You will be using this account to report on all stages of your project.
Applications for student jobs and internships must be submitted by the same deadline.
