Board of Directors
CCA is governed through a Board of Directors that is elected annually from amongst its members, to whom it is accountable. CCA holds an annual general meeting where members collectively review, report, plan and coordinate priorities and activities.

CCA’s membership includes robustly committed networks of institutions, skilled labour and volunteers that are representative of the Canadian archival community through:
- The 13 provincial/territorial archival councils whose members makeup Canada’s network of 800 Archives
- The Council of Provincial and Territorial Archivists (CPTA) whose members are the heads of Canada’s 13 Provincial/Territorial Archives
- The two national associations representing Canada’s professional archivists – the Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) and the Association des archivistes du Quebec (AAQ)
- The federal government member, Library and Archives Canada.
